I’ve been reading a lot of different novels lately and after I’m finished with them, I just rate them in my Goodreads and tossed them aside. Well, now I realize that authors spent many months or even years to complete that whole book and I need to   pay their efforts besides buying their books. So I decided to create a new blog dedicated only to book reviews and soon I will post my reviews in there.

The Moon who wanted to be a Star

All her life
she depended to the sun
to give her light.

But she got tired
of being just a satellite.
she wanted to have
a light of her own.

She wanted to shine
without help of anyone.
She wanted to be
a star and not just
the sun’s mere shadow.

But then she realize,
a star, after all the
lights had gone out,
after it pulsate into supernova,
it became a black hole of nothingness.

It made her smile,
because what she is,
is still better
than what she wanted to be.

Sa bawat tikatik ng ulan
Sa bawat pagsikat ng buwan
Sa bawa araw na nagdaan
Walang oras na hindi kita iniisip

Sa bawat huni ng mga ibon
Sa bawa pag-agas ng talon
Sa bawat pag indayog ng mga dahon

Abandoned Muse

Her fingertips
trace the lines,
caressing the
charcoal sketch
of her face.

She wiped the tears
as if wiping the pain.
as if it can stop
the surging memory
the sketch had brought.

She wanted to know,
she wanted to feel,
how and what the artist felt
while he was sketching her.

She wanted to bring back
the time when she was
his lovely muse, the one
who he can’t live without.

But now, all she wanted
was to be his canvas, then,
maybe he will take good
care of her as if she was
his most priceless possession.

try mo magsulat ng dark.. grin.. hatred and suicidals.. poverty.. about life.. wag ka mag focus sa LOVE.. there's more in life.. mas marami ngayon ang naghuhumiyaw na idea.. alisin mo ang pagiging EMO. and for sure.. lalabas iba mo pang saloobin. apir.. ugaliing magsulat at magbasa. Try mo magbasa sa archives ko para makakuha ka ideas.. sana meron ka mapulot

Salamat sa mga suggestions mo. I think mas maganda nga at napapanahon kung magsusulat ako about sa poverty o kaya mga social issues. I don’t think kaya kong gumawa ng dark or suicidal, pero we’ll never know di ba, maybe one of this days makasulat ako sa ganong genre.

I cupped the world
in my hands
as I watch it
inhale toxic gas.

I stared at it
apathetically,

Poetry Prompt?

I only post one haiku today, which made me really sad. Can anyone give me a prompt?  Please inspire me! My self-motivation doesn’t seem to work today and I need new ideas. I keep on writing about 3 ideas over and over for the past 3 months and I’m getting bored with them. So if anyone has a great heart, who will give me some ideas or inspiration, will be very much appreciated.

Walang Hanggang Pagtulog (September 3, 2010)

Hanggang sa panaginip lang kita makakasama
At dun ko lang makikita ang maamo mong mukha

Hanggang sa panaginip lang kita makakausap
At dun ko lang mararamdaman ang mahigpit mong yakap

Dahil ako ay…
Walang lakas ng loob para sabihin sa iyo
Na ikaw lamang at walang iba ang iibigin ko

Dahil ako ay…
Hanggan na lamang sa tingin
At alam kong kailanma’y hindi kita maaangkin

Sabihin mo nang duwag ako
Hindi ko lang talaga kayang ipagtapat sa’yo
Dahil alam kong wala ring magagawa ito
Masaya ka na sa piling ng taong mahal mo

Kaya…

Ako ay nakapagdesisyon na
Matulog at di na gumising pa
Dahil dun ko lang mahahanap ang saya
Sa piling mo, aking sinta.
